Choosing the right approach
A tile layout should start with the whole room, including niches, drains, corners and doorways. Check the substrate, finished levels and the intended wet or dry use before selecting the fixing system. Review tile batches, pattern direction, edge trims and grout colour together. Large formats also need a realistic cutting and handling plan, especially where access is through a furnished or shared building.

Decide the cut pattern before ordering
Calculate quantities from the proposed layout and actual tile sizes, including niches and returns. Cutting loss varies with the pattern and room geometry. Agree which edges need factory finishes, where narrow cuts can be avoided and how many matching spare tiles should remain after completion.
